Unreal Engine (UE4)

Question: Unreal Engine is a 3D game engine, Fighting is Magic is 2D, are you CRAZY?!

Answer: Well, some of us are, a little. But in reality, Unreal Engine has a paper 2D plugin, it's in beta but it turns the engine into a very powerful 2D engine as well as 3D.

Question: I saw you started months ago, why haven't you still shown anything, Smash Ponies has started in Unreal and has gotten more done then you have.

Answer: Smash Ponies had the sprites and vectors for the game, we didn't. On top of that, there's  the programming.Every little thing has to be 'programmed', for example. When Twilight jumps over Rarity, Rarity would turn and face the other way, but Twilight would not because the game checks the direction of the opponent while they are grounded.

Game FAQ / General

Question: Does the game have unlockables/achievements?

Answer: Yup! We plan to have unlockables, and achievements.

Question: So, you have unlockables, are they story related?

Answer: Short Answer - Yes. Long Answer - We don't know.

Question: How many characters are going to be in the game?

Answer: Seventeen, planned out. We've got a roster yes, and we won't tell you who is on it yet.

Question: Please, don't tell me that (insert favourite mammal/non-mammal here) is not in the roster.

Answer: I said we're not releasing the roster yet. You'll have to wait and see

Question: Wait, you said mammal or non-mammal, does that imply non pony roster members?

Answer: We go by. if it's in the show, it can be in the game. So, in short. Yes.

Question: Does the roster have only seventeen, or do you plan to expand on this?

Answer: Possibly, though we can not promise it.

Question: Is Twilicorn in the game?
Answer: Yes. Yes she its.

Jobs/Open positions

Question: I have great skills in X field. can I join you guys?

Answer: We're actually pretty reasonable. While we're not looking for anything right this moment, if you email us a detailed description of what you wanna do, We'll always read it through and get back to you with a reply.

Question: How many people are on the team right this second?

Answer: Well, as of the 1.29.2015, 12:23 P.M. There are 10 people. one is an intern.

Question: Do you offer internships?

Answer: Yes, but we're tough on who gets in. and we tend to bottleneck things in the period limiting collaboration because we're concerned around the interns

Question: How big do you guys plan to grow?

Answer: Not very big, small teams are great, and easy to keep track of everyone, I'd say we'll not accept any more after 20.
